Paul Feeney is a Democratic State Senator serving his fourth term in the Massachusetts Senate, representing the Bristol & Norfolk district since 2017. Prior to his election to the Senate, Paul served as a member and Chairperson of the Select Board in his community of Foxborough, as well as the legislative director, spokesperson and chief steward of his local union in Boston, MA.
Through his experience as a blue-collar telecommunications technician for over 20 years, and his rising leadership within his local union, Senator Feeney is a leading advocate in the Senate on worker’s rights and safety, job creation, and gender and racial equity in the workplace. Paul has authored over 100 diverse bills in the current legislative session, with a particular focus on delivering for his district, promoting financial literacy, ending homelessness, increasing jobs by growing our economy, and rebuilding a vibrant middle-class. As Senate Chair of the Joint Committee on Financial Services, Paul manages legislation on topics at the core of the Commonwealth’s economy that play a vital part in the day to day lives of all Massachusetts residents.
In addition, Paul is the Vice-Chair of the Senate Committee on Post Audit and Oversight and serves as a member of the Committees on Ways & Means, Health Care Financing, Labor and Workforce Development, and the Senate Committee on Personnel and Administration.
Senator Feeney also serves as the Senate Chair of the Legislature’s Manufacturing Caucus, Homelessness Caucus, and is the Senate President’s appointee to the Massachusetts Rare Disease Advisory Council and the Commonwealth’s Advanced Manufacturing Collaborative.
Prior to his service in the Senate, Paul was a Massachusetts licensed pyrotechnician and spent over two decades leading a talented crew in producing professional, artistic fireworks displays in cities and towns throughout the Commonwealth. Paul resides in Foxborough with his wife Laura, a licensed family childcare provider and small business owner. He is an avid Boston sports fan, sports card and memorabilia collector, and unrelenting promoter of the idea that Tom Brady is in fact, The Greatest of All Time.
