Director of Workforce Development and Planning

Kelly Aiken is the director of workforce development and planning at UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, Massachusetts. In this role, Kelly leads the design and implementation of a new system-level workforce development function focused on creating accessible pipeline programs and career pathways for our diverse caregivers and community members. Prior to joining UMass Memorial Health, Kelly served as Vice President of Programs and CareerSTAT Director at the National Fund for Workforce Solutions. Over the last 15 years her work with healthcare providers from across the continuum of care has resulted in increased investments in frontline workers and improved job quality. Kelly holds master’s degrees in community development and adult education from the University of California Davis. She and her family reside in western Massachusetts.
